Synopsis
Tokyo, a city of love. Tokyo, a city of dreams. Bordering the Ginza, with its rows of high-brand stores, is a place that heals those exhausted business men just enough to help them make it through another day. The place is a “yakitori” bar town. At a shady health food company, a part-time employee Kajiwara (Joe Odagiri) is left alone when the other staff takes off with the company’s money. Soon, he’s got half a billion yen quickly and then “The Boss” of underground society gives Kajiwara a new job as a president of another health food co, “Present For You”. Kajiwara’s task is to cleaning up Japan?! Since then, he receives a sac, as a “present” from The Boss…
Director's Profile : Yoshihiko Dai
DAI worked as advertising planner, producer, and advertising director at ADK, a major Japanese advertising agency. After a stint of working as a freelancer, he founded PLUS heads Inc., in 2001, and planned and directed TV ads for the "Dragon Quest" series and the "Final Fantasy" series.
He has started planning and producing PLUS heads own original content since 2004, producing an million seller best hit animation show, The World of GOLDEN EGGS season 1 and 2, as creative director and producer. Its DVD hit record sales more than 1.7 million sets, ranking No.3 on total sales after FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN but above then Evangelion and Mobile Suit Gundam
Domestically distributed SING FOR DARFUR, a Spain and the Netherlands joint production on the theme of Sudan-Darfur conflict, holding serial previews in colleges throughout Japan. He chaired the Osaka Creative Torihikijo Awards in 2010 and 2011. He has been on the board of Knowledge Capital, Umedakita Grand Front Osaka, Curation Committee.
Since 2009, he has started producing a film, PRESENT FOR YOU, while also starting up a 3-D stop-motion animation studio.
Born in 1960. Graduated from Tottori Prefectural Yonago Higashi High School.Graduated from College of Engineering, Yokohama National University, majoring in Architecture and Building Science.
