The story of youth. Kakeru, a 15 year old boy, and Mii (Little My) , a female transfer student. They are two lonely teens who cannot find their place in life, but who gradually learn to relate to each other through the power of music.

Synopsis

"I am a 15 year old incompetent boy, who can sing and wants to make a mark. It is all I can do for Mii now".

Junior high-school boy, Kakeru Fujita, was born in the town of Wakkanai, at the "end of nowhere", on the northern-most tip of Japan. He cannot find his place in life.

One day he meets Mizuho Takimoto, a female transfer student, who reminds him of the character from the "Moomins", Little My. She has nothing in common with her classmates and keeps her feelings firmly under lock and key. However, she finds Kakeru, who listens to music by himself, congenial company. They are both solitary by nature, but find a common empathy through music.

Discovering an old guitar in Kakeru's house they form a band. They start to create music for the battle of the bands event "The Senko-Riot".
