Beyond the Ballet world, artists and creators at the forefront of every walk of life, are so enraptured by his art they are moved to tears.
Many celebrities including photographers: Kazumi Kurigami and Tadanobu Asano; Kabuki actor, Kichiemon Nakamura; singer Ringo Shiina; the late Ken Ogata; the chief editor of Common and Sense Ed Tsuwaki; etc, have seen him.

Synopsis

This art documentary has to rise to the new challenges facing the art of dance, and has to encompass two areas. The first is the creative processes behind the world premiere of the dance "The Garden of Time", (from 7th January 2010). The second is to document the challenges that Yasuyuki Shutô faced enthusiastically in the topical performance of "Man Fell into a Blank" and "Apocifu", during the 365 days of 2010.
Furthermore, it shows the spectacular solo dance performance in the last scene that caps a new piece of ballet music, written by Ringo Shiina and choreographed by Megumi Nakamura.
World -renowned dancers Yasuyuki Shutô and Megumi Nakamura perform all over the world to the great honour of Japan.
Their performances grab the attention of audiences worldwide with their ability to call to mind humanity's roots. How do they do this?
The film allows the audience to exclusively glimpse the previously unseen hidden and very private world back stage.
The dancers sincere attitude and continuing unstinting efforts, which are beyond all imagination, are bought to bear on the new challenges they face. Together with their humanity audiences are treated to the deep emotion and hope they project.

Director's Profile : Junko Kobayashi

Born in Kobe in 1977. After graduating from film school in Japan, she start working as director for TV documentaries. During TV industry period, she produced a large number of documentary programs. He major works, women's fiction [Route hauls the horse racing live on a journey ~] (Fuji TV), [the doctors fought that special story of the century] (Fuji TV) [special fire Saturday Message from the life story of a bird ~] Tezuka Osamu (NHK), the sacred mountain of the Andes [festival features live HD ~] ~ 5,000m above sea level (NHK), [series] Japanese first Sekiguti Tomohiro (NHK), [spinal cord injury recovery trainer Watanabe Makoto door of Dreams (TBS), Italy] [Amazing Voice Edition (NHK), and so on. Between Today and Tomorrow is her first feature documentary film.
